Planning a kid's birthday party for the first time can bring many questions. I’ve gathered the ones parents ask most often, so the show and party arrangements feel clearer. If you still have something else on your mind, you’re always welcome to chat with me.
Show & flow
How long is the performance?
Most packages are about one hour, including interactive magic, a surprise moment, cake cutting and a group photo. The flow can be adjusted for the venue and group size.
What languages do you perform in?
Shows can be in Cantonese or Mandarin. If you have a special preference, just let me know when you enquire.
Will animal guests appear?
Some packages include a surprise animal moment. To keep the surprise, please don’t tell the kids in advance. Interactions stay gentle and safe.
Do parents need to help during the show?
I normally lead the flow — interactions, games and cake cutting — so parents can focus on photos and enjoy the party.
What does the show day usually look like?
We usually warm up with the kids, move into magic and games, add a surprise or animal moment when the package includes it, then finish with cake cutting and a group photo.
Age & kids
What ages work best?
Age four and up usually works best. If guest ages vary widely, I adjust pacing and interaction to keep everyone involved.
What if guest ages vary a lot?
Yes. I adapt the pace for mixed ages so both younger and older kids can join in, rather than pitching to one age only.
Will kids be scared of magic or animals?
Interactions stay gentle and positive. If a child seems sensitive, I slow down or adjust distance so everyone stays comfortable.
Can the birthday child get special moments?
Yes. The birthday child usually gets a special interaction or surprise moment, while other kids still stay involved.
Venue & prep
What venue setup do you need?
Indoor or suitable outdoor venues both work. A clear performance space helps children sit and join in. If there are lift, parking or access limits, share them in advance.
Do I need to prepare props or equipment?
I bring the show props. You mainly need a clear performance space; if cake cutting is planned, prepare the cake as you normally would.
Do you arrive early to set up?
Yes — I allow time to set up and check the space. Exact arrival can be confirmed based on venue rules and party timing.
What if the weather or venue changes on the day?
If weather or venue plans change, contact me as early as possible. Where conditions allow, I’ll adjust the show plan.
Do private estates and restaurants work?
Yes, as long as there is a suitable performance space. Share any visitor, lift or timing rules in advance for a smoother setup.
Booking & plans
How early should I book?
Popular weekends and holidays fill up quickly, so earlier is better. Even if the date isn’t final, an approximate window helps reserve space.
How does pricing work?
Three clear packages are listed on the site so you can choose what fits. For extra time or special requests, mention them when you enquire and I’ll confirm.
What details should I send when checking availability?
The most helpful details are the date, time, district or venue, and the kids’ ages. If headcount isn’t final, an approximate range is fine.
Can I enquire before the date is final?
Yes. Share a date range or a few candidate slots and I can check availability before you lock everything in.
How do I start an enquiry?
